This first chess game illustrated by talented Swedish artist Ingela P. Arrhenius is ideal for introducing children as young as 6 to strategy board games like chess.
Each piece is represented by colorful animals. There are cats for the pawns, a lion for the king, a tiger for the queen, pigs to represent the bishops, horses armed with shields for the riders and chicks to act as rooks.
To store all the pieces, a cotton bag is provided.
All pieces and the game board are made of wood and are painted with a non-toxic paint.
The game rules are provided in multiple languages, including French and English.
